Lord of the Flies; Chapter 7 summary

In Chapter 7, It talks about how the boys should hunt for the pig while the others look for the beast. The boys end up finding a large boar. Ralph gets his spear and flings it at the boar, but he has never hunted before. They see this kid named Robert, playing with the boar. It was only a game, so Ralph goes back to the beach and tells Piggy, but boys won't be back there till late that night. As Ralph and Roger climb the mountain, they see the monster.

  • Wild Boars are a type of wild pigs.
  • They were brought here from Europe.
  • The males had tusks that come out from there mouths.
  • Boars will sometimes breed with pot-bellied pigs.
  • Mother boars usually have 1 litter a year, with 14 babies.
